HOW TO HACK COMPUTER PASSWORDS IN WINDOWS XP | HACKING COMPUTER PASSWORDS

How to Hack Computer Passwords
STEPS:
If you are logged on to an account with administrative privileges, you can change user passwords using the following steps:
  1. Click on the green Start button and click Run. Then type cmd into the text box and press Enter.
  2. Type net user [Username of the Account] * (e.g. net user Administrator *) then press Enter. Make sure you spell the username correctly, and you have the "*" after the username.
  3. Type in what you would like to reset the password to, then press Enter. Type it in again and press Enter.

If you are logged out of the computer and cannot figure out the password at the start up screen, do the following: (this typically only works on Windows XP Home Edition)

  1. Restart the computer and tap the F8 button repeatedly while your computer starts up.
  2. You will get a screen with a list of options. You need to either choose Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Press Enter to confirm your selection.
  3. After waiting a while for all the drivers to load (all the scrolling stuff), you will get the Welcome Screen, where you choose an account to log into. We know that the other accounts you can't get into, but there should be a new account called Administrator.
  4. Click on the Administrator account and then use the first procedure to reset someone's password.

TIPS:

  • To practice bypassing passwords for speed, make a password you know and restart the computer and get the timing right for the boot F8 menu.
  • Don't tell people that you can get in their computer, just get in and leave them some goodies of some kind. Be creative and have fun.
  • Press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice at the login menu to pull up NT style login to bypass the process of booting to a "Safe Mode"...
  • There are many other ways of resetting passwords on any Windows computer. These include various boot discs, floppy disks, etc.

WARNINGS:

  • This is illegal in most cases unless the computer is your own, or you have permission.
  • Be careful not to get caught doing this, especially with people that don't know you.
  • Most public places (schools/offices/libraries) know this trick and have protection software for it! These people aren't stupid. This is why you boot around Windows with Linux.
